Club Activities Scheduled for 2009
The members of the Lions Club of Russell are an active
group. Not only do we organize a significant number of
fundraising events each year, we're also active participants
in our community, Russell Township.
This year's events are listed below. If you have questions

Monday Night Bingo! (Weekly)
Now with a guaranteed $1,000 Jackpot, our bingo takes
place every Monday night at the Dr. Kinnaird Arena. The first game starts
promptly at 7:15PM.

Lobsterfest 2009 (May 23)
A perennial favourite! Every year,
the Club has its annual Lobsterfest, which is held on
the last Saturday in May at the Russell Arena. Entertainment
will be provided and, of course, there's the all-you-can-eat
lobster and roast beef. Famous far and wide, the Lobsterfest
sells out early – very
early – so drop us

Food Drive 2009 (October)
Each October,
we run the Russell Food Drive. Everyone can help by donating
non-perishable food items. More details can be found here and in your local newspaper as we get closer to the actual date.
New Year's Eve Party 2009 (December
31st)
This year, the Russell Lions Club will be
hosting a New Year's Party. There will be a catered meal, live entertainment featuring Sagebrush (formerly the Castor River
Boys), party favours and a midnight snack.
Tickets are $40 per person and can be obtained by calling Chris Therkelsen
at 613-724-7056.
